The Team
Saker Medavarapu
Physical Therapist
Saker graduated from Idaho State University with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1997. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. Since graduation, he has worked with neurological and orthopedic patients. He is currently specializing in orthopedic physical therapy and working toward obtaining his board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), as well as an advanced clinical certification in Functional Manual Therapy and Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy.
Saker effectively integrates a full body approach to evaluating his patient’s posture and movement patterns to identify areas of tightness, weakness, lack of neuromuscular control, and mechanical stress that leads to pain and inefficiency. He is able to localize dysfunction with exceptional palpation skills (manual touch) and utilizes methods of manual mobilization and skilled guided resistance to restore strength, stability, coordination and more efficient movements and postures that reduce or eliminate pain. He firmly believes that every person has the potential to improve their function and decrease their pain levels.
Outside of work, Saker can be found fly-fishing his favorite river, riding his bike, playing his guitar, or camping with his wife and 3 children.
